400 years ago, as the intrepid Henry Hudson made his way up the river that now bears his name, he happened upon an area of pristine beauty and economic promise. Investigating further, Hudson -  always a good judge of character - determined that the natives were friendly and welcoming. He immediately dropped anchor and made landfall in what would later become Stuyvesant, New York.

400 years ago, although much has changed in this part of the Hudson Valley, two things remain the same: The Town of Stuyvesant remains beautiful and the natives are still friendly.

  • PUBLIC NOTICE - TOWN CLERK’S OFFICE SUMMER HOURS
    PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that for the months of July and August the Town Clerk’s Office will close at 2:45pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. 
    Regular hours will resume on September 1, 2010.
