Hello Visitor,
Thank you for subscribing to the Town of Stuyvesant newsletter.
The agenda for the August Town Board has been added — there are some modifications to the “regular” agenda. This weekend is a busy one in Stuyvesant! Friday night will be the Corn Festival at the RR Station from 4-7. Saturday morning will be the Ken Hummel 5K Race/Walk and Kids’ 1 Mile Chicken Run. Registration begins at 8am.
PLEASE NOTE — Route 26A between Sharptown and Summerset Roads (and all access routes — Church St. & Sunset Dr.) will be closed beginning at 8:20 Saturday morning. Summerset and Gibbons Roads will also be closed beginning at 8:50. The roads will remain closed until the last walker has crossed into the Driveway of Town Hall. Please plan your travel accordingly. If you have any questions, please direct them to Melissa Naegeli, Town Clerk.
Historic Stuyvesant Day will be celebrated at the Sandbar in Stuyvesant Falls. Parking is very limited so please try to use the parking available at the VFW — there will be a shuttle bus running regularly between the parking lot, the picnic and the HydroElectric Plant tours. The rededication of the Hydroelectric Plant will be at 2:00pm and is expected to last approximately 45 minutes. The Town will provide main dishes for the picnic — please bring a dish to share with our neighbors. If you have any questions, please direct them to Juanita Knott, Town Historian.
Hope to see you at one of the events this weekend celebrating Stuyvesant.
Sincerely,
The Town of Stuyvesant
