July Updates

Hello Visitor,

Thank you for subscribing to the Town of Stuyvesant newsletter.

Good morning. The calendar has been updated for July and includes some extra events in Town.

On Fridays in July & August (10th; 24th & 31st; Aug. 7th), the Kinderhook Memorial Library will host “Music & Movement”. Space is limited to 20 children and they will be asked to register for all four sessions — contact the KML at 758-6192 for additional information.

The 90th Annual Columbia County Firemen’s Convention is being hosted by the Stuyvesant Fire Co. No. 1 this year. There will be a free community event on the firehouse grounds on the evening of Friday, July 24th including music by “The Refrigerators”. The parade will be on Saturday, July 25th. PLEASE NOTE there will be road closures with detours beginning approximately at 11:00am. The roads affected will be State Route 9J between Gibbons & County Route 26A, and County Route 26A between Sharptown Road and State Route 9J. The parade will step off at 1pm and the judging stand will be at the playground. Get a good seat!

The Town of Stuyvesant is still seeking applicants for a clerical position to assist various town offices. Please contact Supervisor Knott if you are interested.

The Town Clerk’s Office will be closed on Friday, July 3rd and Saturday July 4th.

Wishing everyone a safe and Happy Independence Day.
