October Updates

Hello Visitor,

Thank you for subscribing to the Town of Stuyvesant newsletter.

Happy Fall, ya’ll!

Some things of note for October: Town Board meeting tonight, Oct. 8 at 7pm. The Board will be discussing preliminary numbers for the 2016 Budget; Town Offices will be closed the evening of Monday, October 12th in observance of Columbus Day; the annual Childrens’ Halloween Party will be held on Saturday, October 24th 1-3pm at the Town Hall — please contact Cathy Knott if you are available to help (with baking, set-up, clean-up, running a game, etc.).

Other “things” — the bridge repairs have begun on the Stuyvesant Falls Bridge and the County Highway Dept. has advised that the work will continue until approximately mid-November. Although it is not expected that the bridge will be completely closed at any time, there may be delays for single lane traffic.

A notice will be distributed by Highway Superintendent Chuck Stiffler regarding winter parking restrictions on Town Roads. The restriction will begin on November 1st and remain in effect through March 31. This is to ensure that the plows are able to safely clear roadways in bad weather.

Don’t forget to follow us at Town of Stuyvesant on Facebook.

Sincerely,
The Town of Stuyvesant
