Highway Superintedent Chuck Stiffler is reminding everyone that there is NO parking on Town roads between November 1st and March 31st, due to the difficulty in plowing the roads. Violators will be ticketed and towed at owner’s expense. He is also reminding everyone that putting snow in the road by shoveling, blowing, plowing onto or across, or any other means of depositing snow or other debris in the road is against the Law (NYS Vehicle & Traffic Law 1219(c)(d) ).
Election Day is Tuesday, November 7th. Polls are open 6am – 9pm. Please be advised that due to Election Law regarding candidates being in proximity to the Polls, the Town Clerk’s Office will be closed.
A flea market scheduled for Saturday, November 11th at the Railroad Station; there promises to be a lot of vendors for your shopping pleasure.
The Public Hearing on the 2018 Preliminary Budget is scheduled for Thursday, November 9th at 7pm; being held prior to the Town Board meeting.
The infomation session regarding the Shoreline Restoration at Ferry Road with DEC is scheduled for Tuesday, November 14th at 6pm at the Town Hall.
Watch for information on upcoming events at the Railroad Station in December — the annual Holiday Caroling Party and an Art Show celebrating the student artists from Ichabod Crane.
