Every property owner in the Town will be receiving a post card from the Assessor’s Office with information about the upcoming Reassessment Project.
There will be a reassessment of all real property as a result of a decision by the Town of Stuyvesant to create fair and equitable assessments at 100% of Market Value. It is done pursuant to Sections 301 & 305 of the NYS Real Property Tax Law (RPTL). It is the intent of the Town to complete the reassessment in accordance with Section 1573 of the NYS RPTL, rules and and procedures in order to qualify for State Aid.
Beginning in August of 2018 the first step of this process will begin with data collectors doing field work by updating or verifying the inventory records and photos of each parcel in the town.
Additional information is available on our Website under “Recent Documents” “Re-Evaluation Project Informtion” or feel free to email Howard Gleason at [email protected] with questions.
Please also be advised that the Town Clerk’s Office will be closed Thursday, 7/26 through Saturday, 7/28. The office will re-open on Monday evening at 6pm.
Did you know? You can now renew your current dog license (with a current rabies certificate) online. Go to our website and scroll to the bottom of the Brown Box and choose “Renew my Dog License”.
Historic Stuyvesant Day is coming up on August 11th celebrating Poehlsburg. There will be a picnic at Ice House Road pavilion and a bus tour of the area formerly known as Poehlsburg. Please bring a dish to share and join in the fun. The picnic will start at noon.
