Sept/Oct/Nov Updates

We hope this newsletter finds you well. It’s been a long, hot summer and we are looking forward to a cooler, beautiful Autumn.

Some news for the coming months:

September:
The Data Collectors are out around Town to collect property information as the first step in the ReAssessment Project the Town is undertaking. The Collectors will have identification badges.

The Town Clerk’s Office will have special hours on Saturday, Sept. 29th The Office will be open 8am – 10am (instead of the usual 10am – 12 Noon).

October:
Town Offices will be closed on Monday, Oct. 8th in observance of Columbus Day.

Trash Day is Saturday, Oct. 13th 8-4 — Rain or Shine (tickets available from Town Clerk or Highway Department). Please see the front page of the website for additional information on what you can and cannot bring. Please note that a loaded truck with an attached loaded trailer will be counted as 2 trips.

Town Halloween Party will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27th 1pm – 3pm at the Town Hall. There will be games, treats, and a costume parade with prizes. Head Witch Cathy Knott is always looking for volunteers to help decorate, run games, clean up, or bake. Please contact her if you can help. [If you have an 8th grader or high school student, this is an excellent Community Service option!]

November:
Parking restrictions on Town roads begin. Please be mindful during inclement weather that there is NO parking on town roads between Nov. 1 and Mar. 31st — this will be enforced.

General Election — Tuesday, Nov. 6th; Polls will be open 6am – 9pm. All election districts in Stuyvesant vote at the Town Hall.

Town Clerk’s Office will be closed on Tuesday, Nov. 20th.

Town Offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 22nd in observance of Thanksgiving Day.
