We are nearing the end of October and we have some information to pass along.

As you may know, early voting has been open since last week. It will remain open through Sunday, November 1st at the Columbia County Board of Elections at 401 State Street. The hours for the remaining days are:

Friday, Oct. 30th 9am – 5pm
Saturday, Oct. 31st 9am – 2pm
Sunday, Nov. 1st 9am – 2pm

Voting on Election Day will be at the Town Hall for both Stuyvesant Districts. The polls will be open 6am – 9pm. Masks are required in the Town Hall.

Please be advised that we have installed new high efficiency filters in the Town Hall HVAC systems to safeguard employees and residents who will be voting in-person on Election Day.

Beginning on November 1st the Parking Restrictions for Town roads take effect and go through March 31st. Parking is prohibited on Town roads during this time. This restriction is for the safety of your vehicles during snow events that the plows have to go out for.

A reminder that putting snow in the road is against the law. Pursuant to Section 1219 of the NYS Vehicle & Traffic Law — paragraphs (c) and (d). Depositing snow in the road, including shoveling, blowing, plowing or any other means of spilling snow or ice on a public roadway is prohibited. (This law also applies to any other type of debris, including grass).

The Town Hall is open for normal business hours but with many Holidays in November please check our website calendar or Facebook Page for any closures.

A Public Hearing on the Preliminary 2021 Budget will be held on Thursday, November 5th at 7pm. A copy of the proposed Budget can be found in the Document Center of our website under “Town Budget”.

Wishing you a Healthy Autumn!
