NOTICE OF ANNUAL ELECTION

STUYVESANT FIRE DISTRICT NO. 1
IN THE TOWN OF STUYVESANT,
COLUMBIA COUNTY, NEW YORK
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to the Town Law of the State of New York that the annual election of the qualified voters of the Stuyvesant Fire District No. 1 in the Town of Stuyvesant, Columbia County, New York will be held at the Stuyvesant Fire District No. 1 Firehouse located at 194 County Route 26A, Stuyvesant, New York 12173 in the Town of Stuyvesant, New York on December 8, 2020, between the hours of 6:00 o’clock p.m. and 9:00 o’clock p.m. to elect one Commissioner for a five (5) year term commencing January 1, 2021, and ending December 31, 2025, and to vote on the Bond Resolution of the Board of Fire Commissioners adopted February 18, 2020. Candidates for Commissioner shall have filed their names with the Secretary of the Stuyvesant Fire District No. 1 at 194 County Route 26A, Stuyvesant, New York 12173 not later than November 18, 2020, being twenty days prior to the election. The ballot will include a proposition for the approval of the Bond Resolution in substantially the following form:
Shall the resolution entitled “BOND RESOLUTION DATED FEBRUARY 18, 2020; A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN ADDITION TO AND RENOVATION OF THE STUYVESANT FIRE DISTRICT NO. 1 FIREHOUSE AT AN ESTIMATED MAXIMUM COST OF $1,880,000 WITH A PERIOD OF PROBABLE USEFULNESS OF 15 YEARS; AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF SERIAL BONDS OF THE STUYVESANT FIRE DISTRICT NO. 1, IN THE TOWN OF STUYVESANT, COLUMBIA COUNTY, NEW YORK IN AN AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,880,000 PURSUANT TO THE LOCAL FINANCE LAW TO FINANCE SUCH COST; AND DELEGATING CERTAIN POWERS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH TO THE FIRE DISTRICT TREASURER” be approved?

Those who are qualified to vote are registered voters of the Stuyvesant Fire District No. 1 who shall
have resided in said Fire District for the period of thirty (30) days next preceding such election.
