Good morning.

First to follow up on our first Community Night & Cruise In held on Oct. 2nd– it was a success and we would like to thank everyone who participated. Plans are already in the works for next year so stay tuned!

The Town Board meeting will be held on Thursday, Oct. 14th at 7pm. The Board will be in attendance at the Town Hall and members of the public are invited to attend in-person. If you prefer to attend remotely, you may do so using GoToMeeting.

The annual Children’s Halloween Party will be held on Saturday, October 23rd 1-3pm at the Town Hall. The party is open and free to all children from Stuyvesant and surrounding communities. Volunteers will be needed to help decorate on Friday, Oct. 22nd. Volunteers will also be needed to bake or provide treats, run games, and clean up after the party. Early Voting begins on Saturday, October 23rd and you will be able to vote at either the County Office Building (401 State Street) or at Martin H. Glynn School Building (Town of Kinderhook Offices). The open times will be:

Saturday, October 23 from 9am-2pm
Sunday, October 24 from 9am-2pm
Monday, October 25 from 12pm-8pm
Tuesday, October 26 from 9am-5pm
Wednesday, October 27 from 12pm-8pm
Thursday, October 28 from 9am-5pm
Friday, October 29 from 9am-5pm
Saturday, October 30 from 9am-2pm
Sunday, October 31 from 9am-2pm

All districts in the Town of Stuyvesant vote at the Town Hall (5 Sunset Drive) on Election Day (Nov. 2nd). The polls will be open 6am – 9pm.

If you need or want to vote by Absentee Ballot, you can get an application for the Ballot at either the Town Clerk’s Office or at the Board of Elections. The application must be received at the Board of Elections by Oct. 18th — absentee ballots will not be mailed unless the application is received by the BOE by that date. This is a new and major change.

Reminder:

Effective Nov. 1 – March 31 there is no parking allowed on Town roads — this is to allow the Highway Dept. to plow in the event of snow.
