The Town of Stuyvesant has agreed to contract with the Town of Kinderhook again this year and provide funding for Stuyvesant children to attend the Kinderhook Summer Recreation Program at Volunteer Park in Valatie. This program is open to the children residing in the Town of Stuyvesant.
The Summer Recreation Program runs daily from July 5 through August 11, 2023. Hours are 9:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, Games and crafts are provided by the experienced counselors. The program is open to children entering kindergarten through seventh grade.
Any children transported to and from camp by a non-parent or guardian will need a signed note from the parent or guardian giving permission for them to do so. Any children riding bikes will also need a permission note signed by their parents or guardian.
We hope that you will take advantage of this offer to provide a full day program for you children. We have a lot of positive feedback on the experience of the enrolled children over the years.
If you are interested in participating in this year’s program, an application is available at the offices of the Towns of Kinderhook and Stuyvesant, as well as on the Town of Kinderhook website. Stuyvesant residents must register with the Stuyvesant Town Clerk and receive a receipt prior to registering with the Town of Kinderhook. Without the receipt signed by the Stuyvesant Town Clerk, the Town of Kinderhook will expect payment with registration. You can receive the receipt from the Town Clerk during normal business hours and by providing proof of physical address. You will be asked for child’s name, age, and grade; as well as your physical mailing, and email addresses. You will also be asked to provide a contact phone number.
