July Updates

Hello Visitor,

Thank you for subscribing to the Town of Stuyvesant newsletter.

We hope you had an enjoyable Independence Day and are your summer is going well. The calendar has been updated for July and please note some news:

— Blueberry Festival for Railroad Station Restoration, will be held on Friday, July 15th 4-7 @ the Town Hall
— The Town Clerk’s Office will be closed on Saturday, July 16th
— The July Zoning Board meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, August 2nd

Plans are being finalized for this year’s Historic Stuyvesant Day (Saturday, August 13th) which will celebrate the Homecoming of President Martin VanBuren, who landed in Stuyvesant with Benjamin Franklin Butler then travelled to Kinderhook. Town Historian Juanita Knott is working with the Friends of Lindenwald group to bring us a fun and interesting day. As always, the day will begin with the Ken Hummel Memorial Run. This is the 10th Anniversary for the event and will have an additional race — a Duathon. The registration form is available for downloading through the Website Document Center (under Recreation Committee).

Enjoy the heat and try to take advantage of our new river access and pavillion at Ice House Road.

Sincerely,
The Town of Stuyvesant
